I hate seeing ads like this, and I certainly expected more from Hammacher Schlemmer.

An 8-gig thumb drive for $59.95? Really?

Go to Staples and get a thumb drive at twice the storage for one-third the price. Or go to Amazon and get a terrabyte of storage for just a few bucks more.

I’ve often been tempted by the Hammacher Schlemmer catalog. They seem to have some interesting stuff in there. But if this is typical of their products, their catalogs are headed straight into the garbage from now on.
